How to Roll the Dice

This forum has a way to roll dice in your posts, allowing for us to use game systems without relying completely on the honor system and outside sources. Currently, to roll dice you must select the "Post Reply" option when in a thread, not use the Quick Reply at the bottom of a thread's page. If you are accessing the forum on your phone, you will probably need to switch the forum to "Classic Mode" to do this.

To make a roll, simply scroll down under the Send or Post button below the text of your post as you're making it, where there will be a Die Roller. Simply select the type of Die and number of them you wish to roll. It will do the rest for you, creating a second post with your roll results.

The little plus button gives you more types of dice to roll, so you could both roll an attack and its damage, for example.

If you have trouble rolling, the GM can roll for you.

There is an option to turn on a BBCode version of die rolling, but it causes the dice to reroll every time you edit your post, so I have opted not to enable it.

When to Roll
You should only roll when asked to, or if you think/know one of your actions will require one. You do not need to roll dice every time you post ingame. If the GM thinks your to roll for something you haven't, they might do it on their next post for you. You are free to deliberate or refute the need for a roll, but do not turn it into an argument, and GM always has last say.


Adding Modifiers
The die rolling system does not add any modifiers to the roll for you, so when you make a roll, you should include any relevant modifiers to your roll in the text of your post, as well as of course mention what the roll is for ("just in case I need to roll" is good enough if for nothing).


Flipping a Coin
For the purpose of calling a coin flip, 1 is considered tails (or the negative outcome), and 2 is considered heads (or the positive outcome).

Here is an example of what it looks like.

For some reason my phone doesnt show the dicr images but thr rolls themselves show up so thats good enough for me.

Added a part mentioning that the GM can roll for you if you're having trouble with it. On phones it is a little hard to do it.

And I can see the images on my phone, so may just be some. Though wouldn't be surprised if some disappeared since I hotlinked them. Either way, the text is what matters.
